Biography

Born and raised in a low-income household in California, Jason's resilience and determination were evident from an early age. He moved to Central Florida after high school and has been a dedicated member of the community for over 24 years. Jason and his wife, a fellow academic achiever, have been married for 17 years and are proud parents to three children, including their eldest son who serves in the US Navy.

Jason graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, achieving this while working full-time. He later earned a Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from Florida A&M College of Law, where he was not only an editor of the Law Review but also engaged actively in various student organizations. His leadership as Vice President of the Stonewall LGBTA Law Association underscores his dedication to inclusivity and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community.

His professional journey includes significant roles at the Public Defender's Office in the 9th Circuit and as Assistant General Counsel for the Osceola County Clerk of Court's Office. In private practice, Jason has zealously defended his clients' interests, showcasing his profound dedication to justice.

As a candidate for Circuit Judge, Jason Willis is driven to serve his community with fairness and a deep sense of responsibility. His aim is to ensure that the legal system is both accessible and representative of the community it serves, embodying the values of justice for all in his judicial approach.
